Jacqueline Harvey has combined a successful career in education with her love of a good story. She is the author of 14 novels for younger readers and a picture book, THE SOUND OF THE SEA, which was awarded Honour Book in the 2006 Children’s Book Council Awards. Her bestselling Alice-Miranda series centres on the life of Alice-Miranda Highton-Smith-Kennington-Jones, a perpetually positive and determined seven year old who takes herself off to boarding school because it appeals to her sense of adventure. The first book in the series, Alice-Miranda At School was released in Australia in February 2010 with Alice-Miranda On Holiday, Alice-Miranda Takes the Lead, Alice-Miranda At Sea, Alice-Miranda In New York, Alice-Miranda Shows the Way and Alice-Miranda In Paris following at six month intervals. Jacqueline is currently contracted to write 12 Alice-Miranda books. She has a new series for younger readers (5-9 year olds) which launched in Australia in September 2012. COMING SOON Alice-Miranda At Sea





Hello Friends,

It's been a really busy week. I'm very excited that my new book Alice-Miranda At Sea will soon be launched - quite literally as we are holding the launch on a boat on Sydney Harbour on Saturday 6 August. There will be more details about that as soon as the official invitation is ready. This week my best grown up friend, Jacqueline Harvey sent the manuscript for my fifth adventure, Alice-Miranda Takes Manhattan to my special friend Linsay Knight at Random House. I can't tell you too much yet but we had a lot of fun in New York and you won't believe some of the people I met!

I think it's almost time for bed - it has been a rather exhausting week.

    I finished Alice-Miranda Takes the Lead on the train this morning - it was fantastic! Can't wait to read the next adventure!

    hello....your novel is very good.But i like alice at miranda at school than alice miranda on holiday.I don't know why !!! I from Indonesian . SHALOM !!!! JESUS LOVES YOU

    Alice-Miranda, is my model. I have learned some of my lessons and this term at school our topic is Olympics! Because the olympics is Going. 2nd August Thursday 2012

    hello, i very like Alice-Miranda. and i have Alice-Miranda at school,Alice-Miranda on holiday and Alice-Miranda takes the lead. but i like Alice-Miranda on holiday than Alice-Miranda at school and Alice-Miranda takes the lead. i wait Alice-Miranda at sea :).
