Jacqueline Harvey has combined a successful career in education with her love of a good story. She is the author of 14 novels for younger readers and a picture book, THE SOUND OF THE SEA, which was awarded Honour Book in the 2006 Children’s Book Council Awards. Her bestselling Alice-Miranda series centres on the life of Alice-Miranda Highton-Smith-Kennington-Jones, a perpetually positive and determined seven year old who takes herself off to boarding school because it appeals to her sense of adventure. The first book in the series, Alice-Miranda At School was released in Australia in February 2010 with Alice-Miranda On Holiday, Alice-Miranda Takes the Lead, Alice-Miranda At Sea, Alice-Miranda In New York, Alice-Miranda Shows the Way and Alice-Miranda In Paris following at six month intervals. Jacqueline is currently contracted to write 12 Alice-Miranda books. She has a new series for younger readers (5-9 year olds) which launched in Australia in September 2012. Clementine Rose and the Farm Fiasco - OUT NOW in all good bookshops

Hello Friends,

I am so excited that my best grown up friend, Jacqueline Harvey's latest book, Clementine Rose and the Farm Fiasco is now in shops around Australia.  I love the cover - it's so pretty.  I just met Clementine Rose at the beach while Millie, Jacinta and I were on holiday with Millie's mum and dad at their caravan.  You'll be able to read all about that in the adventure Jacqueline Harvey and I are writing at the moment.  It's called Alice-Miranda In Japan.  It will be out next year in March.  Before that I'm so excited that Alice-Miranda Shines Bright and the Alice-Miranda Diary for 2014 will be in shops 1 September.

Have a great week - I promise to write a longer blog about our wonderful time in Adelaide soon. I had a lovely email during the week from a friend called Violette-Rose and I'm planning to try and use some of her ideas for some posts.  So, pop back again soon.

I'm coming to Adelaide!

Dear Friends,

I'm so excited to be visiting Adelaide very soon.  I've never been to South Australia and Adelaide looks to be a beautiful city.  I hear that you have lots of lovely churches.  While I'm there, my best grown up friend, Jacqueline Harvey will be presenting some writing workshops for public libraries, doing an interview on ABC radio and visiting bookshops; four of which she'll be doing on Saturdays over the coming month - and I'll be tagging along too of course.  She's also working on two new books, Alice-Miranda In Japan and Clementine Rose and the Seaside Escape.

I can't wait to meet new friends in Adelaide and I'm so excited about my new books which are coming very soon (1 September for Alice-Miranda Shines Bright and the Alice-Miranda Diary for 2014).  But first Clementine Rose has a new book which will be released on the 1st August.  It's called Clementine Rose and the Farm Fiasco.
